Modular 1: the world´s first modular tool system, and a top-level performer in the cost-efficient production of small and mediumsized series and the production of complete component families, using only one basic tool and interchangeable plug-in modules.

Every Modular 1 tool has been manufactured individually yet is based on a universal principle: the patented Stepper modular system with its superb accuracy both in the frame and in the individual modules. The system is designed specifically for each product and production process using the active components deployed in the plug-in modules. These components are manufactured from high-performance, high-speed steel, given the Stepper Modular Surface and, in a final process, coated with the Stepper Special Coating. The result: hardness of up to 2800 HV, long service life and efficiency and flexibility in series production.
