Stepper was founded in 1965. From the outset, it has stood for the trend-setting design and construction of stamping tools using the latest cutting-edge technologies and has developed the most advanced innovations such as the world’s first modular stamping tool and Stepper Special Diamond surface coating. It all started with the idea of a modular design for progressive cutting tools. This idea took real shape in 1975 and is seen today as a turning point in modern toolmaking: the Stepper Module System, with an emphasis on user-friendliness. A universal base tool, which plug-in modules can transform into a custom tool for entire families of parts, it features easy handling, minimal maintenance and high speeds, even in the most demanding bending, rolling, and pressing operations.

As one of the first toolmakers to use CAD, and as a technological leader in the stamping industry, we look back proudly at thousands of successfully completed projects around the globe. Our intelligent planning of workflows and continuous technological improvements in construction and manufacturing have always ensured top quality and timely delivery.
